[attachment=3165]Well it is refrigerator replacement time.  Ouch!
it really wasnt that bad on mine. just make sure you get one that fits the opening. if you go to my post on it there is a lot of info

Yes Tom, I have read that several times.  Mine is also an Amana and have looked at several that will fit.  I have a friend that owns a furniture store in town and he said he could get whatever I wanted.  All he needed is the model #. He usually handles high end stuff like Wolf, Viking and Sub Zero. I told him to send a couple of big guys to get it out and the new one in.  My door is 42" wide and steps are 32" so that will help.  You are correct about expensive.  It has to be counter-depth and they are $4 to $500.00 higher than standard ones.  So will just have to bite the bullet.  If I can get 15 years out of the new one I have no worries.
My Amana is doing fine, but I have a question. I store the coach for up to 6 months at a time, and should I let is run during storage or shut it off. This winter I have left it running.
Chester, I don't know what is correct, but I leave mine on all the time.  I do cut it down when I'm not using it.
I always left mine running in storage and at normal temp setting
I leave it on
i leave mine on all the time
