When I purchased my coach the icemaker had been removed. If any one needs to replace their refrigerator, but the icemaker works, I'm looking for the parts.
The ice makers are readily available. I replaced mine due to flaking of the non-stick material on the surfaces that formed the cubes. I think I did a post on the project. If you need any detailed information let me know. Russ
Thanks Russ,
When I looked I didn't find ALL the parts. I need every thing. I'll call you.
ours is the same way and i need to replace it. i wanted to make sure it worked good before i put money in it and it is a very good fridge.

i think they are around a hundred bucks for the icemaker.

steve, when you are out here in november for the race, darlene can tell you where the fridge salvage yards are that she got parts for our coach fridge. the parts that are no longer for sale.

tom
Tom,
Thanks. A salvaged unit would be fine. Russ gave me a link to a company that may still have all the parts. I'll do more checking when I get back from my trip over to Tulsa.

Russ, would you please post the model and availability information for replacing the ice maker? Mine was working fine until I replaced the filters down below, then it quit working.
Chester,
Here is the icemaker replacement part # PS2121513 Russ gave me. see link

steve, our fridge had a broken shelf (plastic and glass). the plastic part of the shelf was no longer in stock or made at all. the same for one of the wire rack shelves in the freezer.

so darlene spent a day going to fridge salvage places. she found the fridge side plastic shelf (crisper box) and they gave her the glass shelf part. the wire racks she got several different ones that were not quite right.

so, some parts you can still buy, some parts you cannot. if you can buy new, thats what i would do. you do not want a used 13 year old icemaker. it will likely give you the metal flakes.

also, if anyone is ever replacing their fridge, please offer up some of the interior parts. we still need one of the freezer door trays that snap into the door to hold stuff.

they are no longer made so you cant just go buy them.

my amana is model number ARS9168AB and the icemaker you refer to for yours is the same as is in mine.

thanks

tom
