Unusual layout with salon, kitchen, 1/2 bath, then full separate mid bath, then bedroom and rear closet. Listed as a Detroit Diesel Series 60 but it is painted RED. Roof observation deck with large ladder on rear of coach. 229k miles with over 9,000 hours on the generator. Was NASCAR driver Rusty Wallace's coach. Appears to have 2 raised floor bedroom slides and a flat floor slide in salon. Mid entry with manual door.
rusty's old coach it should have a red hot series 60.they were turned up to 550hp I believe most were 485-515. Only 3-4 were made that way all penskes
If you look at the engine picture for sure it is a series 60

Tom, I will check this out next time I'm over at MOT.
Anyone have a source for that ladder? Looks like it telescopes down and not attached to the engine bay door (I like that). Would love to have an observation deck, I miss the roof on the 'Bird ...

Check with Tommy Key at Newell for adding an observation deck.  He has always told us they can do anything to our coach except add slides. And, they have been VERY good with all the remodeling done.
Anyone have more info on this one or given it a quick look?  I'm interested and being a newbie probably need some help on what to ask/check besides the normal big items.  I have viewed hundreds of posts so I almost think I have a good handle on some of the potential issues.    The observation deck is a pretty interesting feature.  Has a bunch of miles and the generator hours are probably a concern.
Saw this coach in person in August of 2016. Outside was a little rough. Inside was nice. Probably could buy it for quite a bit less.
