Well,  there are 5 of us in Ruidoso now.  The Resort is Stunningly nice.

Looking forward to the rest of you coming.

Use this thread to post things about the rally as we go

Tom
We arrived about 1 pm, turned off the A/C, opened the windows and the view through the front windshield is about 20 miles. I lived at this altitude about 25 years ago, so take a day or two before any major exertion and the booze is more effective up here. Wow!
With seven Newells already in the park, we had an impromptu get together with chicken, steak, salad, corn, tuna, fortune cookies, veggie noddles and great comradery.
Does anyone have an extra shoreline contactor? Or a line on which one to get from Newell or Grainger? Coach is 1992 and shoreline contactor failed yesterday. Might be a good project for Rally.
Clint,

I don't have a contactor, but we can hard wire it when you get here.

Or we may be able to just clean the contacts.

Thanx Richard!
Have it blocked on with the fat end of a nylon zip tie right now. Generator contactor is working great. We may a couple of days late to rally due to work issues but will check in with park office in the morning. I am on location in Kingman, AZ right now but will (should) head home in a couple of hours. May have to detour through Santa Barbara, CA or Grants, NM on the way to rally.
Have got to go to Kingman for a day or so. Talked to park office just now, they are wonderful folks. We are still hoping to at least make last couple of days.
Come on up Clint. Several of us will be here through next weekend, leaving on Monday.
we had a fantastic day here in ruidoso.  our hosts jimmy and lisa who own the park provided dinner for us all tonite.  rudy gave a seminar on aquahot for 15 of us.

the weather is incredible, the company even better.

here are a few pictures.

thanks to everyone here today for making it a great one

For cheap entertainment, go watch the bears tonight.  Just before dark go to the the national park headquarters on Mechem Dr, then go west on the street on the north side of the headquarters until you see a group of dumpsters. Back into the woods, leaving your headlights pointed at the dumpsters,  and wait in the dark very quietly (with your windows up) until you hear the lid on a dumpster crash.  Turn on your headlights and enjoy.

Do not get out of the car and do not crack a window !

I just sold my house in Ruidoso that I built 35 years ago.
