Just wondering if anyone has replaced or rebuilt a 20kw Generator?
How many hrs. is the life expectancy?

There are a couple of Newells at the Rally that have around 8500 and 9500 hours on them and they are going strong.
mine is one of those michael is talking about. i have 8800 hours on mine

They should make 30K hrs with good maintenance. That is engine part. Generator head might need brushes etc once in a while.
Mine has 7748 hours and nary a problem (knock on wood).
Running these things is they key to long life and happiness.

I have 8606 hrs. on my 1999, #516 Newell and the engine blew up on me. Kholer has gone out of the RV business, I'm having problem with parts. I'm at Cabin diesel, in Big Cabin, OK., they are looking for parts. Don't know for sure what all we need. but block for sure, walls scored on 2 middle cylinders. Anyone have any idea for replacement parts. Have been told a Co. called Martin, took over for Kholer.
