i have had blue sky insurance for several years.  in 2015 i was paying like 1000 per year.  that went up to 1900 per year in 2016 and they just told me it will go up to 2700 in 2017.   that is with no claims, clean driving record etc.

they used to be the lowest priced.  they told me that longer rv's are more accident prone.   ha

so, i know everyones insurance is different based on circumstances and locations, but looking for some guidance from you all

thanks

Try Ron Jarvie 1800 282 1446 Got "actual value" this means they decide what your coach is worth.
$1000 deductible damages and full windshield ins. for $900/yr. Actually cheaper than my Foretravel, but it
was agreed value and the Newell is actual value. I am thinking I would not be able to replace it if it was totaled,
but I am legal. Have replaced 5 windshields in 5 years for no charge so not such a bad deal.
Jim

Tom Guico is the cheapest I've found
I recently renewed mine with National Insurance for $2,164 with no comprehensive deductible and $750 collision deductible. I am told that all motorhome insurance had large increases this year.
i am getting quotes from a number of places. am hopeful i can find one a lot cheaper

thanks for the tips

Tom, we went through the same thing when we got the '02 but it was because of our age (even though I don't think they would really admit to that).  We got quotes from everybody we could think of and finally settled on American Family.  We put everything, except the building where we keep the motorhome and the boat, with them which include cars and house.  We insured the Newell for what we paid for it (not what we thought it might be worth) and the insurance on it is about $1200/per year.
I am with auto owners ...Our B&B 7 vehicles and the Newell. $300.00 year for Newell with 50,000 stated value and full coverage. I can call my agent and switch from comprehensive only to full coverage when we travel.
I have been very satisfied with their service.
Hi Tom,
Is it mentioned at the time of getting insurance and haven't you read the insurance policy before signing?
Public Insurance Liability
It was 2017 when I first acquired a class A motorhome, it was a Country Couch Intrigue. My insurance premium at that time was under $1000 with National General, with a deducible $500. Coverage was considered good, with towing, etc. But the premium for that policy goes up 10-20% every year even without an accident or a claim.

Now, I got a 2004 Newell 701, the agent says National General does not insure Newell. My new policy is with Progressive, it costs $1690 in 2022, and the agent said they are about to raise their prices, so told me to get in early as possible. My deductible now is $1000
