Have the standard 12.5kw Kohler genset in our '87 Newell. Looking to either rebuild or replace the controller.

Ran across this controller that I'm looking @ for a replacement - but if I can find a 'kit' w/all the relays switches I might go that route also.

Any advice/opinions?

Marc, What is the part number and manufacturer?
Kohler 12.5kw - the model #, I'm not being very successful in locatating. Found the Model of the generator itself, but not the genset, yet. Smile
I have a 1988 coach, #163 with a Kohler model 12.5CCO generator.

I can send pdf copies of the Parts & Service Manuals

Once you have the part number of the controller, let me know.  I may have one in stock or can point you to a vendor.

what makes you think the controller is faulty?
I can force it to run by jumping a couple solenoids on the engine - but without the jumps it will start - then die.
Sounds like possibly auto fire extinguisher may need to be recharged.
On a 1987? I've not seen anything like that.
