On my coach I have 4 slide pins on the passenger side slide 2 on the top 2 on the bottom. The pins have not been engaging since I bought the coach. I removed the upper inside trim and found the 2 magnetic switchs were pushed up into the locking block . I found that the magenits are.  In the slide dose anyone know if there are sensors on the bottom can't see anyway to get to them
thats interesting. i do not have any slide pins on the bottom on either of my slides. i see no benefit of having pins on the bottom since the hydraulic rams are there sucking it in.

are you sure there are some on the bottom?

they used two different systems to engage the pins for sensors. mine has round rare earth magnets about the size of a nickel superglued to the top of the slide adjacent to the slide pin hole. the sensor on the slide itself is on the wall above the slide and can be adjusted up and down a little. if the magnet and the sensor dont have good alignment, it will not trigger the pins to come down. as the slide/coach ages and sags or moves, the magnets will need to be taken off and reglued on. i just did mine last year to make it consistently trigger the pins. even then sometimes i have to hold my head at the right angle to get them to come in....ha

the other system has microswitches somewhere.

tom My slide has a scissor mechanism that pulls the slide in and pushes it out one on each side of the slide. My magnets are on the inside of the slide when I put a washer next to the holes where the pin goes in the washer sticks. I have 3 boxs up in the left front bay that have lights that tell me when the slides are in or out and if the pins are locked or open . Just not sure how I would get to the bottom locks top was easy . My other 2 slides only have 2 pins go figure! 
I just found a magnet laying loose on top of the bedroom slide...it is about the size of a nickle.  Is there a diagram somewhere to locate the correct placement "adjacent to the slide pin hole"?  If not how do find the correct placement?
no diagrams and dont expect to find one anywhere.

i used gel superglue to hold them down and you should see where it was glued previously.

you can also look at there the sensor is on the inside where the slide pin mechanism is to see where they should go.

if that magnet is off, the pins will not go down. there should be a magnet on each slide pin hole on the slide. both have to be aligned for the pins to go down

Hi Tom, I hope you're staying cool and healthy.    I've returned to my project of getting the bedroom slide locking pins to work when retracted.    I don't have the magnetic sensors, so assuming microswitches somewhere.  My control box indicates as attached - the Lock indicators are both unlit, but the front "in" indicator is lit.  Shall I interpret that to mean that the rear "in" sensor (microswitch?) is what's not working?    And where will I find it?  Not seeing any microswitches in the area of the hydraulic pin assemblies.

The microswitch that tells when the room is in or out controls the pin locks on those systems without sensors. Be VERY careful with those switches. One the hyd system is strong and will bend anything in its path. Two, misadjustment or malfunction of the switches will result in the pin locks ventilating the roof of the slide. The microswitch for the bedroom is located underneath the bed under the access panel he bedlift is attached to. The microswitch for the salon is in the middle of the slide in the basement ceiling. The room must be out and the floor up to see it.
Hi Richard, thanks for the reply. So I'm aware of the one microswitch for the bedroom under the bed that tells the system it's in in far enough. My slide stops when it should, so I'm thinking that switch is doing its job. Shouldn't both the "IN UPPER FRONT" and "IN UPPER REAR" control box indicators be lit? Or do they have another meaning? The HWH manual uses the term "limit switch arrangement," which implies to me that there are some sensors at the top of the slide. If this logic leads in the wrong direction, would I turn to the locking pin hydraulic solenoid as the next suspect?

One more note on this. When the rear slide completes its retraction, it the hydraulics don't make a sound of the pump spinning down like the front slide does (until I release the Retract switch.) Is it possible that the one microswitch sensor has failed and the pump just stalls/pressure releases?
