This coach is a good example of the saying "No two Newells are alike".

Notice the Prevost type table and slide in dinette. That is the first time I have seen that on a Newell. I would guess that 90% of all Newells have the booth type dinette. Very few table and chairs.

I love the old Classic Newells. I wish I still had my '87 Newell 40' w/tag.Smile
I would hazard a guess that some remodeling has been done to the interior of this 1982. I'm not saying I don't like it, just that I'm relatively certain the interior has been refurbished.
Nice Classic coach. Setup very well. Looks like it was cared for
Anyone have much experience with the Cummings 903 engine?
Thanks for the tip, Steve. Actually, we're kind of focusing on wide body Classics, which is 86-89. It is a nice looking coach, though. I think I like that 89 you found for us a bit better, though, although the right mirror attachment seems a bit off. May just be the photography, though.
I had a 1981 Bertram 38' w/twin Cummins 903 turbos. I had a problem with 3 defective cracked pistons (Cummins gave me 8 pistons, etc. free). I had to pay for the labor to install the new pistons, rings, etc. The engines (2) were out of warranty but Cummins stepped up to the plate.

Overall, I was happy with the 903s. I believe that this was an isolated case - I would not hesitate to buy any vehicle with Cummins 903s. They are great engines and Cummins is a good company to deal with. I was very happy with the way they treated me.Big Grin
David,
Here's a '86 40 footer, wide body with a tag that look pretty good. They have it priced at $30,000 or make offer. Lots of nice extras. It's located in Colorado.

Yea Jimmy,
Going by the photos, that was a steal!
We spent the weekend moving our daughter's stuff from Nixa to St. Charles, so didn't see the posts here until just now. Jo Ann was only a bit disappointed to find what we had missed. Oh well, can't buy anything right now anyway, but we're still learning.
