When I was at Newell last week I talked with an owner of a 2011. When his coach was in storage he would turn off the 110v air compressor and use an air compressor plugged into the Air In port at the rear of the coach. Today I tried to do the same thing but when the air compressor got to 100 PSI a very audible air leak occurred. The leak sounded as if it came from behind the tag axle on the passenger side of the coach. Once the air leak started the air pressure would drop below 90 PSI. We tried this three times with the same result. Is this the air dryer leaking? Any thought on the cause of the air leak.Thanks in advance.

Your coach is newer than mine, but all the air dryers I have seen were located in the left side wheel well behind the tag wheel.

You will have a safety pressure relief valve on the “wet” tank located under the coach between the tag wheels. It is possible that it is failing.
What did do with your air leaks?

Thank you for your response. Took the coach to Newell last week. The tech chased and repaired air leaks for several hours. No leaks under the coach, but numerous air leaks in the bays. Replaced several fittings in the plumbing bay. It seems as if the bay had an air fitting it got replaced. The tech reviewed with me the worked that had been performed by showing me the bays and described which air fittings were replaced. I was impressed. One of the air compressor's was replaced. Very pleased with the service.

Not trying to be a wise guy, but it that relief valve isn't popping while your coach is running, I might take a real hard look at the gauge on the compressor you are using to make sure it isn't reading incorrectly.
When you plug the external compressor into the air port, what does the gauge on the coach firewall read when you first hear the hissing?
What makes me suspect the relief valve is you saying it resets at a lower pressure.

I pulled the relief valve on the fire wall until the gauge showed 40 PSI and then I would turn on the external air compressor. I looked one time when the external air compressor gauge was showing 90 PSI and the gauge on the fire wall was showing between 40-50 PSI.

I dont know of the relief valve on the firewall.
There should not be a big differential between your compressor air gauge and the one on the firewall. Turn the regulator down on the compressor to 60. Try it and see what happens.

The air pressure relief valve is popping while the coach is running. I reread your earlier post about the relief valve. The relief valve is working normally.
