Thanks
Rick
Rick,
It is the last three or four numbers of the serial number. During some years the coach number jumps to a high number out of sequence. Michael (Fulltiming) and some of the other members can give you a better explanation on the jump in coach numbers better than I can.
You might look at Motorhomes of Texas inventory. If you find anything of interest contact Jason Haskins. Jason is the General Manager.

Newell Coach 1242
The coach number is the last three digits of the VIN from 1990 through coach 816, a 2007. Then the coach number jump to #1200 (still in 2007) to make up for the 383 coaches made prior to incorporating the new numbering system in 1983. Since the middle of 2007 when the last three digits dropped to 200, you use the last four digits.

All 2005 models had the ZF suspension and thus the steerable tag axle. 2004 is more complicated #671, 681, 685 and all coaches after #696 had the ZF suspension, all other 2004's had the older Dana IFS suspension. No coach before 2004 had the ZF suspension.
