For umpteen years I always thought there should be coaches for sale with 1.5 baths.  I have seen a couple used Newells currently on the market that now have this feature.  Does anyone know what year they began this feature?

I appreciate all your historical knowledge!
Technically is was a 1972 model with a chauffeurs quarters in the back that had 2 full baths. The second one had an extra toilet for it's bunk beds in 1992. However, the first real bath and a half as we know them now was #423, a 1996, and one of only 3 bath and a half units built without a slide. #435 was the second. #469, a 1998 was the Newell first slide coach with a bath and a half, followed by #472, #489, #494, #497 and #499 also 1998's. About a 1/3rd of the 1999's were bath and a half. By 2002 almost 1/2 of the Newells built had a bath and a half. By 2008 most were bath and a half (I show all but 3 had the bath and a half). Since then there have been a few one bath only coaches built each year most have the bath and a half. Currently two of the 10 reference floorplans that Newell shows on their website lack a bath and a half. Of course Newell is always ready to sit down with a customer and a clean sheet of paper to design a new coach. Even though most want the bath and a half, some want the extra storage. A few recent models have had a closet that was plumbed and wired for the easy conversion later to a half bath.
Wow! You really know your Newells! I was not expecting such an in-depth and detailed response, but this information is wonderful! This will help me as I seek my future coach. Thank you so much!
