Any suggestions for a campground either at Coeur D'alene or Sand Point, ID for a couple days?
Thinking of maybe stopping over next week on our way home.
Also probably go to Yellowstone for a few days, any suggestions where to stay there?

Change of plans. We decided not to do CD and go to west Glacier instead.
So, any suggestions for a campground on the west side of Glacier?

Columbia Falls RV Park in Columbia Falls, MT is right in the town and there is a fabulous butcher just around the corner! Or there is a swanky KOA, and you pay for the swanky, West Glacier KOA and it is only open until 30 Sep.

Have fun and watch out for a possible early snow fall!

Try to run the going to the sun road while there if possible

I plan to DRIVE the road, these old knees aren't up to running!

Thats good it is a 50 mile run...

We stayed in Columbia Falls and it was reasonable, but a new park just opened this summer right at the west Glacier entrance. We drove through and it looked nice.
