Another newbie question, after reading a post by Michael Day I am questioning what year my coach is.  I thought it was a 1984 as the sticker by the cockpit says November 1984 but the title states 1985 (I had assumed this was just a clerical mistake). I am now thinking I actually have a 1985 coach.  Is this correct or how do I know for certain?
That is probably the date of manufacture.  I would assume since it came off the line in Nov 84 that you have an 85 model year coach but I will let the experts on this forum chime in.

Have fun!

michael will know best, but virtually all of the newells i have seen were delivered in the year before the coach model year.

go look at newells new coach inventory. they are mostly 2021's. and they are avail now. i have no idea why

The tenth digit in the VIN indicates the model year . 1984 would be " E" , '85 is " F" . However , I would defer to Michael on this .

That is a 1985 and yes, the tenth digit is an F according to Mark. I have only confirmed a total of 22 1985 models but there may be more. That is what makes it difficult tying VIN numbers to coach numbers in the 1983-1987 range. If there were only 22 built in 1985 it would be #75 but until I can get better information on the actual number of coaches built in 1985, I can't be sure. There were a lot more Newells than that built in 1984 (35 I believe) and 1986 (43).
Great information from the reply’s and private messages. I now know I do have a 1985 so time to correct my signature.
