We were driving westbound on U S. 101 just about to leave Port Angeles when we spotted a late 60's Newell pulling out of a gas station.  A few miles drown the road he caught up with us and we both pulled off the road. We were privileged to meet Richard and Tammy,  the new owners of this 25' 1967 Newell.  They paid $1,000 for it. Richard was able to get the Ford Industrial running just a few days ago, so this was their maiden voyage. He is also working on the interior.
Cool!
Nate and Tammy, if you are reading this thread, please join us on this site.  We would love to watch your progress on that neat coach !
Very cool indeed! Nice to see you and Elaine! Hope your travels are going well and hope to see you again soon!
Hi everyone. It was really nice to meet Clarke and Elaine today on Crescent lake. Another awesome Newell I might add. Thanks so much for the tour. We both enjoyed it immensely.

So, on to the story of 9A25-S8008--further docs from Karl Blade actually have the coach number as 10A25-S8008. It had some custom features built in to it which changed the production order number. It is a 1967 Newell Coach 25' with a 330 cu.in. industrial engine. I purchased it about a year ago from a guy in Camano Island, WA. It had sat neglected for a number of years.

Once home, I dumped all the varnish that was in the fuel tank trying to pose as gasoline. Some good clean fuel and fresh filters all around, with the help of Dr. Ether was all that was needed to spin and fire that motor up. Oh, I did do a thorough clean and mini rebuild on the quaint 2v carb.

It is a worthy project--please stay tuned.
Welcome Aboard Richard and Tammy
Welcome!!! LUV it!
New pics posted of paint removal on the anodized gold. What a pita. People--do not paint over original stuff, darn.
