we are staying at one of the nicest quaintest parks we have been at.

full hookups and a large back in spot with tons of grass and trees. super friendly couple that runs the place and after it rained today they noticed that there was a puddle in front of our door so they hauled gravel and put it so we wouldnt walk in the puddle.

there are only a few spots that are big rig but they are real nice.

it is right next to a humongo city park with a river flowing through it.

A river runs through it?
yea walked down to the river, about a hundred feet wide now with all the rains. it is about 200 yards from the rv through the woods. too bad i dont fly fish......

the ducks were out in full force squawking, probably because the river was moving wayyyy too fast for them to get in. if they did it would be like a roller coaster ride.

we are right next to the bathrooms, showers, laundry and F5 tornado safe shelter. yea, F5. it is like a fortress with 1 foot thick walls able to withstand 180mph winds. they are a bit paranoid about tornados here. like oklahoma, tornados hit pretty often here. two towns within 30 miles have been destroyed over the years. belmond and charles city. i grew up with an indian family as friends (hi Ed). and grandma redowl used to say that the tornados would never hit mason city because two rivers met or forked or something like that in the town.

since this is a city owned facility, they built that building very nice and very strong.

it is a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
