Hi Tom,
I used Diesel Klenz for years with no plugged filters or injector problems. I switched to POwer Flo Klenz 10 years ago and I am happy with it's performance. I tested different fuel conditioners (Howes and Lucas were not available to me and not included in this test) by putting some treated fuel into a glass beeker with a nail that had been sanded to remove the protective coating. over time the nail began to rust in the beekers without the Power Flo Klenz. That experiment validated Central Petroleum's claim of lubricity provided by the fuel conditioner.
My 2005 Dodge 3500 Cummins has 125,000 miles on it. It averages 20 mpg empty and 11-12 mpg at 33,000 lbs gross pulling a 24' gooseneck trailer. I have not had any pump or injector issues with it. The fuel in my Newell sits in the tank for 6 months at a time with no fungus problems.
I'm sure there are other fine fuel conditioners available...Just be sure that you choose a LUBRICATING type of conditioner with NO alcohol in it.

HoosierDaddy,
After reading your post, I went back & checked a bottle of Howe's for ingredients--no alcohol.

I've been using Howe's since March, and have noticed slight improvements......1) a little more power on hills, 2) runs a little cooler.....I don't think my mileage is measurably better, BUT like Steve says....it makes me feel better.
