Been there, done that Larry. I had a 40x60 barn with an attached cover for the coach. Not an easy thing to get rid of all of your treasures. Someone will get some bargains for sure.

the last few days has been alot of work on the shop. friday the windows and doors got installed. i have the garage doors on order and picked out the openers. going with a high R value door (R18) and steel on the inside of the panels. also getting 1/2" insulated glass in the doors up high. decided to go with a medium duty commerical jackshaft opener. they are a little industrial looking but i like not having the trolley rail over the top of the garage door.

today was our wiring and plumbing day. my son scott (from guru fame) came down from las vegas where he is stationed at nellis afb to help, richard and rhonda arrived yesterday and richard put in a full day of tough work with us today. my son in law jon came as well. then my plumber buddy came as well.

progress......working at a 20' 6" ceiling height is tough. fortunately my contractor has a reall heavy duty rolling scaffold that allows us to get to the ceiling easily.

we worked from just after sunup till late afternoon. richard spent most of the day up high on the scaffold and scott spent some too.

we got maybe 1/3 to 1/2 way done on the the wiring inside and for the outside lights. 16 switches at the door in 4 banks of 4.

4 fans, 14 flood lights, 3 carriage lights and 2 mandoor lights. also 21 ceiling lights (that my contractor is doing).

we put a soft water hose bib in between the two front garage doors and another on the side where the rv pad is going to be. then 2 hard water hose bibs outside. may add one more yet, not sure.

will also do exteriro and interior security camera prewiring.

the contractors electrician is coming monday to do the main panle and wire for the ceiling lights.

will post some pictures in the next couple of days.

happy saturday

tom

Still trying to get my head around 20' ceiling!!!!! I love it!
Tom, around here we sometimes put a fan assisted vent near the ceiling to exhaust summer heat. Are you planning anything like that?

Forrest, we had those in our pavilions in the desert in Doha, and Abu Dhabi...They work great and are very durable.

No 20 ft diameter fans. And they are 5 dollars a piece. I did simple and cheap high com fans and will individually control them.
