Clarke and I laid out and mounted compressed air pipe hangers today.  170 ft of mounting hangers 14' high off the floor.  tomorrow we will start putting the pipe up.  using the scissors lift made this fun and not a chore.  we strung a masons string 14' off the floor from end to end of each wall and then the pipe mounting clips screwed to studs.  each clip had a groove on the bottom to put over the string to align it.  pretty slick.

Nice to see the shower near completion, and some of the compressed drops in!

Nice job.

RE: Newell House - encantotom - 02-06-2016

a few lighter projects today.  wiring up and installing the doorbell.  i opted for an old school bell.  it makes a nice loud ring.  i made a case for the doorbell transformer by using a plastic electrical junction box i had laying around.  i painted it white and mounted the transformer inside it.  by code it has to be open, so no lid on it.  then i mounted it just above the floor of the storage area above the mancave, put a plug on it and just plugged it into the outlet.

next i worked on the toolbox sink for the mancave bathroom.  i previously had a piece of stainless waterjet cut for the top.  (the picture shows the backside of the stainless, i still have the protective coating on the shiny side).  i cut the top of the tool box out and most of the guts inside the toolbox for the locking mechanism and lock.  i still have to cut the inside of the two drawers out so they will still cosmetically look like drawers, but will not be real since the sink is in the way.
