Drove 265 miles today form Twin Falls, ID to Evanston, WY....staying at Phillips RV Park near the fair grounds....nice park, and easily handles our 62'. Lots of long pull through sites...$30 with Good Sam discount. We put in 140 gallons of diesel at the Fred Meyers @ $4.15/gallon in Twin Falls this morning. They must put something special in their diesel, because the coach climbed like a cheetah today.....was pulling 4-5% grades easily in 5th gear....that has never happened before...temps stayed right around 198 on the 25 mile climb to Evanston. We are at 6,800' elevation....started at 3,400' this morning. Off to Flaming Gorge National Park tomorrow for 8 days.....will also visit Dinosaur NP while we are so close. 78 degrees and dry.

OK Clarke, not so sure we should go anywhere called "Flaming" anything in a Purple and Pink bus, but be will head that way on Wednesday. It is like 350miles, so we most likely will stop in Jackson at the Snake River KOA. Should see you on Thursday. "Snap Twist Snap"

OK, Matt.....looking forward to seeing you and Connie in a few days......looks like a "mini" rally is going to happen! I'll be sure to spread the word that you are not FLAMING.....Big Grin

We moved from Buckboard Crossing (no water at site, or sewer, or cell phone signal/3G....I could have lived without sewer, but not WiFi and water) to Buckboard Marina, site #12.....I can now use my WiFi Hotspot....have 3 bars of 3G!, plus water, sewer and 50amp. Awaiting the arrival of Matt and Connie sometime today.

Speaking of Mini rally, Jeff & Pam. Steve Magown and I are all going to West Virgina close to Richard and Ronda. Hoping to get Richard and Ronda to come down to do some ATVing at the Hatfield McCoy Trailfest in Gilbert WVA. . Would post some pictures but don't know how. Jeff,Pam & Steve are suppose to get to my house by Sept 30 and we will travel to Gilbert on Oct 1st for a week. We then will come back and ride Windrock, Brimstone, Royal Blue, and in Virgina and KY. You can Google these these place for what they look like. Tried to get Matt to come in but can't get him back to the east he prefer his bicycle which he never crashes except on the east coast.

Matt and Connie arrived around 1:30pm and are two sites down from us. Had some rain today.....not a lot, but the giant sky is amazing....the view is LONG here.

RE: The full time dream! - whatsnewell - 09-19-2012

We spent 4 days with Matt and Connie at Buckboard Marina RV Park, and had a blast. The first night Connie served dinner, and it was amazing! The first day we took a 10 mile bike ride in the morning, and then we got in Matt's Ford Flex and drove around to the west side of Flaming Gorge and saw some amazing views. There was a lot of "ooohing and awwing" most of the day. We had a great lunch at Flaming Gorge Lodge, and then drove a little further to the dam. After seeing the dam we headed back, but stopped off at Red Canyon Overlook, which all by itself was worth the drive. On Saturday, after watching college football most of the day, we BBQ'd chicken and had Matt and Connie over. Watched more football on Sunday, took a long walk with Matt out to the main highway. On Monday we parted ways....Matt and Connie turned left at I-80 and headed to Bear Lake, and we headed just a few miles east to Rock Springs, WY to shop at the Walmart and spend a couple of days.

RE: The full time dream! - whatsnewell - 09-19-2012

After Flaming Gorge we hung out in Rock Springs for a couple of days dry camping at the Super Walmart, which actually has a nice view of the valley to the west. We visited Bitter Creek Brewing in the old town area and had a few local brews along with some great appetizers. The second day we rode our bikes around the old town area. It was a little stormy both days, and it rained pretty hard the first day right after we left Matt and Connie. From Rock Springs we headed east to Rawlins, WY where we hooked up with old college friends who moved there 35 years ago to run a State Farm Insurance agency. It's always great to reconnect with old friends, and this was no exception. We were there two days and toured the now closed State Pennitentiary.....very, very cool tour. From there we meandered down to Denver and spent an afternoon with David and Denise Zonker....so great to see them after a couple of years! We are now 165 miles east of Denver in Stratton, CO for the night. Tomorrow Kansas!
