A DIY Silverleaf-like Data Scanner - $50 - indio192 - 08-03-2014

I wanted to view some additional engine and transmission parameters (in particular the current gear), but did not want to buy something as expensive as a Silverleaf VMSPC. So, I built my own using a few off-the-shelf chips for the interface and using an Android tablet as the display. It works great.

Here is the link to my blog describing the project in detail.

Jim is the guy that found the inserts for the leveling solenoids.

And that picture of him under the coach is posed. If it were real his head would be bleeding. Or maybe it's just me that bleeds everytime I go under.

Good to hear from you Jim

Thank you so much for this - looks like a fun project!

Pairodice, I do not have the talent to rig something like this, but I thought you might be interested in setting up your dash as I have done using Silverleaf.  If you do, I can send your the program file if you decide to go with Silverleaf.
