Ok I know I should know this but I don't, so advice would be welcome. On my thermostat control 2 of my units have a furnace option. Can some one explain that to me?

Marc,
The furnace option on your thermostat activates the AquaHot heat. On mine the #1 operates the salon & kitchen. #4 operates the bedroom. I also have additional thermostats for the AquaHot heat in both baths.

My thoughts also. Heat pumps are an option on all my roof units. My electric heats are for my slide rooms
