okay, thermostat came and I plugged it in and the display kept saying EE. None of the buttons were operable. Called Newell and they're stumped. They think it might be some kind of electrical problem. There is a solution but it involves wires, alligator clips and ELECTRICITY, (with a possible minor shock I was told). To me, there are NO minor shocks. It would also involve going back and forth outside to control the temp. I am just going to buck up tonight and tomorrow and hopefully get to Miami Sunday eve. BUT there is an ice storm coming in tomorrow afternoon, so Gary may not even be able to get back from Boston. woe is me!!

Susie,
Do you have only one central thermostat? Are you in a park with service? Is the aqua hot not working? You can call me if you want.

Susie,

This is about the potty and air issue. I can't help with the TStat.

Try turning on the 12 V compressor in addition to the 120V one. In really cold weather the airline from the 120 can freeze.

Just talked to Tom. It's a Dometic /Duo Therm. Comfort Control. I can't find any model number but am attaching a picture. The new one they sent appears to be identical to the old one. Also , there is a service center number but I haven't called them. Just saw it. 800-544-4881

Try this: If you have the five button comfort control. Turn the unit off and hold down the mode and zone buttons together. While holding them down, turn the thermostat back on. Hold the buttons down until an FF appears on the screen. Release the buttons and the display should return to normal. If not, try it again.

If you don't reset the thermostat like Forest detailed it wont work anytime the communication lines are terminated. This may or may not be your problem , but this reset is always needed after any line in the a/c system is disconnected and reconnected from new or old...If the Aqua Hot is on then use the furnace setting if you have one on your thermostat in MODE settings.

A HUGE THANK YOU!! I heard the doorbell and it was Andrew French who happened to have been reading the posts during his lunch. He told me he thought to himself, "Wow, if this was my mom!" So, he started working on it just as Mark Newman called. I handed the phone to Andrew and they began to work their magic. The solution? Not sure but Mark was having me reset all the breakers (none of them had flipped) and the same time, Andrew replaced the old thermostat, reset it, which we had already done numerous times, and the heaters kicked on! I now have heat. Then Andrew went outside and said my main compressor was running continuously so he activated (?) the second one. Do I sound like I know what I'm talking about?? Anyhow, to make a long story short, we have heat and we have air!
