Inverter relay? - DogKnots - 05-16-2015

Anybody know what this relay / transformer is called or what it does?
One of the hot legs (inverter power), the common leg, and the ground go through it before the inverter.
The other leg (red) which I'm pretty sure is power for the converter charger only takes a bypas around it.
Thanks.

That's an Electrical magnetic Interference filter. Regarding what it does I'll yield to the more knowledgeable engineers on the 'board.!

I know that the Invertor/charger generates magnetic current. I am assuming that filter is there to keep it from interfering with RF or causing line noise.

Very interesting. Thank you!
