Replacement Exterior Lights - Flick - 10-12-2012

One of my tail light lenses has a crack and the running lights up about halfway have a rubber base that is very old an cracked. What are some good places to source for replacement lights?

Here is a link to an ebay listing on the tail lights;

How did the awning come out?

Todd, I replaced all my rear brake/turning lights with the ones from the guy on Ebay that Steve gave you the link to. They work great. He also sells the amber ones for the front turn signals:

Thank you. Have you guys done anything with the headlights or fog lights at all?

Also at night when I drive some of the instruments are a bit difficult to read beCause 20 years of Texas dust has managed to make it into some of the gauges. So I get a bit of a dust glare back. Have you guysever had to attempt to clean your gauges at all? Since your RV was so nicely stored I dont imagine this is an issue for you Clarke, but Steve what about you?

Yes, I have taken a few of the VDO gauges apart. If you get cozy with the concept that you are going to have to deform the aluminum case to get it apart, then it is possible. And of course you have to reform the case to get it to stay back together.

Use something like the airbrush that photographers use for lens cleaning. And dont jiggle the needle if you dont have to. The needle is just pressed on it's shaft, and if you disturb it the gauge will point to some different value.

Our Dash Gauges don't have that issue. I have taken gauges apart before but haven't been very successful in getting them back together without the bezel showing that it was done, good luck.

Haven't had any problem with dust in my gauges, and you are probably right, being stored inside for 22 years couldn't have hurt.

Clarke,
How is your late night indoor storage going?

Good, Steve....just finished our first week of half shifts (5 hours), and start our second tomorrow evening. Next week we'll go to full 10 hour shifts four days per week (Tuesday through Friday).

We also replaced the old blue club chair with a Euro style recliner with ottoman....what a brilliant acquisition!

Sweet chair.
