TPMS which one? - prairieschooner - 12-12-2015

I have my new Michelin tires installed and now I am wondering about a Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
I check my tire pressure before I leave and this has worked to date but the tread separation I just experienced makes me curious about a TPMS.
After reading what I can find I am still curious about the manufacturers and could use some advice from those with experience.
thanks in advance!

Steve, If you are going to Quartzite again this year, there should be a few vendors in the "big tent" with TPMS.

I've had Pressure Pro for about 8 years now and have not had any problem with it.  New senders on the valve stem have to be replaced about every 4 years when the batteries start losing their power, but other than that it is the only thing I've done.  It is really nice to be able the check the air pressure from the cockpit.

Here's a discussion:

I have some buyers remorse after buying the EEZTire on Amazon - the unit works great and does exactly as advertised. The problem is that if I get an engine monitoring system (VMSPC) it only works with Pressure Pro AFAIK... Not a big deal and I plan to keep the EEZTire for now... Will sell it and buy the Pressure Pro probably

Thanks, we should be at Quartzsite but not sure that would be the best place to buy anymore. Prices appear to have gone up drastically in the last few years.
I read that discussing before posting here since we are FMCA members. It didn't help me decide just more curious.

Just read your post and it sounds like a good system for me since I have a 6V92 and no computer so there will be no monitoring system in my future, I still look at SW Gauges.

I have been using the EEZTlire system for the last couple of years and have been real please with the results. I also have had 3 different Pressure pro the past 12 years. The last one I let go with my 96 coach and bought the EEZTire for the 04. Both system are good. The EEZtire with the temp will tell you a lot of what going on with drive, brakes and bearings. I don't roll without the  monitoring system for coach, truck or trailer.

RE: TPMS which one? - bestgenman - 12-13-2015

I've been using the tire tracker for several years.  The ability to monitor a towed item is the primary reason.

It has worked well for the most part, sometimes a sensor quits reporting, and batteries seem to last about a season.  The display is portable and is fixed in a suction cup holder while traveling making it easy to see.

RE: TPMS which one? - prairieschooner - 12-13-2015

Thanks again guys! your input has really helped me make this decision.

I think that I will be buying the EEZ RV, EEZTIRE T515/SP system. We are leaving again before the end of the week so this purchase was expedited and will buy through Amazon with the 2 day shipping. I will only be able to get the 6 sensors for right now but the system is expandable. They offer a 15 day return so I hope to be able to install prior to leaving for the Parker Strip again.
I now agree that this is an important tool while traveling and with new tires I would like to know what is going on with them.

RE: TPMS which one? - Chester Stone - 12-13-2015

I have "Tire Tracker" with 12 sensors and a repeater for the rear of the coach. These are sold at most motorhome gatherings, but I do not recommend it and would not purchase it again.
