dash heater pump - jcus - 06-28-2016

Have a leaky seal and can not find a label on this pump. Has anyone ever replaced or rebuilt it?
Thanks, Jim

Jim, when you do figure out what the pump make and model is, will you post that info?

The wanderlodge seems to use this pump....http://www.wanderlodgeownersgroup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8175

Or you might look at this page......http://www.midwestbusparts.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=6_125&zenid=7mt2jl5u6bce1fsb7krbl5elm6

Looking at those pics, the Newell pump may be a Bergstrom instead.

I do know this. My 95 had the pump and the dash heat and aquahot heat was great in the winter travel. My 99 does not have the pump, and the dash heat is tepid in the winter. And the AH will not go much above 140 on the dig gauge.

Did call chuck, he said Newell no longer uses a pump for dash heat, but he thinks it was probably a bergstrom.

Richard, thanks for the link, just ordered 06-pb-1099300 from midwest bus, it looks pretty close to what I have.
$136 plus shipping. Will let you know when I get it, if it is plug and play.

i had 2 of those pumps on my 90. one at the back like yours and one behind the front firewall over the passenger headlights.

my 02 has neither, but does have aquahot radiators with fans at both the driver and passenger ankles on the outside wall.

Does anyone happen to know where to buy a NOS fresh water manifold for a 1989 coach? Ours is aluminum and now leaking. Talk to Chuck at Newell today and they ran out of stock long ago.... Thanks, Rick

RE: dash heater pump - Richard - 06-30-2016

Leaking because the manifold is cracked? or because the threads have stripped? or some other reason?

If it's just the threads then a pipe tap could possibly rescue them, or a helicoil .

Pump installed, appears to work good, but hard to tell as it is 98 f. outside now. Had to rotate it slightly because housing is larger, but basicly a straight swap.
