bundle of wires - jcus - 07-14-2016

Anyone know where the bundle of unused wires in the s.s. box in passenger side engine compartment goes to? I assume and hope, somewhere near the dash area.
Thanks,  Jim

Jim ,
It's not unusual for Newell to provide some "extra"wires . On mine they end up near the fuses on passenger side.

On both my 93 and 77 coaches the bundle ended near the fuses on the front passenger side.

Thanks everyone, found spare wires by fuse panel, but all different colors. Tried continuity tests on a couple but no go.
Guess will have to run some new ones. Anyone know an easy path? Trouble with Newell's are, they are built so well, running new wires are a real pain.

I have a switch panel to the left of my mid-entry door. The awning controls, salon lights, 12V DC master off and others are controlled by this panel. Yesterday, I had the panel off and found a bundle of unterminated wires. Some of the colors are ...Blue/White, Red/White, Red, Blue, Black, Orange/Black, Red/Slate.

So before you run wires all the way from back, check behind some of your switch panels to see if any similar bundles.

Those wires in the back gotta go somewhere! Good luck!

Jim, What are you planning to wire in?

Jim,

You might want to spend some time in the basement.

If you get under the coach, you will probably find several penetrations using PVC pipe in the bulkhead above the drive axle. Newell used those penetrations for hydraulic, heater hose, and some wiring going forward. IIRC, after the penetrations clear the water and fuel tanks, the wiring and hoses are simply zip tied to the roof of the basement.

Also look in the space in front of the drivers feet for the unterminated wires from the back. Newell ran a lot of wiring for the gauges from front to back.

You could also run new wires inside the coach using the overhead valences on either side then find a place in the front and rear where the wires run down. They are easy to unscrew and pull down. Even in each kitchen cabinet there is a panel that is just screwed in.

Plan on installing a vei pyrometer which uses a normal wire instead of a special probe wire, and a switch for my fan solenoid so I can go to high speed when needed.
