Mike, I use a Cradlepoint MBR1400 rather than the WiFiRanger and what you describe in 1. is what the Cradlepoint does using my Verizon MiFi as one source and the WiFi as WAN from my EnGenius. 2. An extender shouldn't be necessary, I don't use one. 3. Depends on your location. If in doubt, I would go with the booster. 4. I opened up the hole above the drivers overhead where the cables for the satellite dish go through the roof and ran the additional wiring though that hole, installed a clamshell cover and resealed it.

These guys rely on high speed internet access as they still work fulltime & RV fulltime.
