AquaHot antifreeze change - Chester Stone - 03-21-2018

I need to drain and refill my AquaHot antifreeze.  Please let me know where the drain plug is and how much does it hold.

Drain is below and behind burner, 16 plus gallons

Rudy, does burner have to be removed?

Also Rudy, an inspector of my coach recommends food grade antifreeze, and is this appropriate my boiler which is the older unit.
While food grade is not required, is it OK to use?

Chester,

The drain valve is near the rear of the burner and can be reached without removing the burner. It will the tight though as it is behind the burner.

You can use engine coolant, the same as in generator and/or engine. Newer heaters with an electronic control board require GRAS (Generall Recognized As Safe) boiler antifreeze or coolant.

Rudy, do you know of anyone in the Phoenix area that is qualified to change out the antifreeze?

You might call John Carrillo, 970 5 one 8 3 zero 85, to see if he is still in Az.

Why do you want to change the fluid? If not contaminated, I would not suggest the change.
