Transmission Filter for a '74 Allison 6 speed - cvwiggs - 06-20-2018

I have a 1974 with an 1160 Cat and a 6 speed Allison. I am trying to find out a part number for the transmission filter before we change it. Do any of my Guru friends know?

There should be a data plate on the drivers side of the transmission. The info that you need, to find the correct filters, is on the data plate.

The data plate will help for the internal filter but may not provide direction for the external filter. In worse case you may need to measure the external filter including the seal ring and threads to find an equivalent.
