Do you already have a surge protection device?

If not the combination surge protector/transfer switch from Progressive is something to think about.

I have the Surge Guard.

Furion ATS installed. All the issues I had been describing are gone.

Thanks for posting the solution.

The problem has returned.

I am guessing the ATS might have has some issues, but I am now thinking it was not the cause of my inverter cutting out.

The inverter should work long as you have DC voltage present, if the DC voltage of your batteries starts to drop then the inverter is not charging and perhaps missing the 110 AC leg feeding it and that would cause inverter to flip out.
