Tom diesal should cut off at 200 electric should cut off at 220

i know the diesel cuts off around then, since i turned the electric off at 215, i will have to try it again

Rudy, thanks. I will stand at ease until we get together in Spearfish. Tom, the factory manual says the normal cutoff for diesel is 190 and 198 for the electric. The excess heat thermostats both stop fuel and electricity at 230.

i think the trick is the accuracy and placement of the thermocouple for the digital gauge we have in the kitchen. wouldnt surprise me for it to be off 10 degrees from actual based on probe placement or accuracy.

my aquahot on diesel gets up to 208 and no higher.

i have been running aircons so wont get to check how high the electric side gets till the next few days.
