Just completed a trip to the west side of Florida and added a few campgrounds:

Mississippi-Robinsonville-Sam's Town RV Park  Easy in and out pull thrus.  Paved roads, concrete sites, table & BBQ and good utilities.  This park is next to the Sam's Town casino.

Florida-Milton-Avalon Landing RV Park  This park is located just east of Pensacola and just south of I-10.  Paved roads, gravel pull thrus, table & good utilities.  Good overnight spot IF they have any pull thrus available.

Florida-Seffner-LazyDays RV Resort  This park is located off I-4 just east of Tampa.  Paved, wide roads and paved sites.  All sites are back ins.  Table & good hookups at each site.  Very nice pool area, on site restaurant & rv store.

Florida-Williston-Williston Crossing RV Resort  Park is a destination park.  Paved roads, paved sites, some back ins & some pull thrus.  Nicely landscaped!  Reservations suggested.

Florida-Fort Myers Beach-Gulf Waters RV Resort  Park has paved roads, Concrete and paver sites, table and good utilities.  Nice landscaping and pool area.  Convenient location for exploring Sanibel & Captiva Islands.

Florida-Naples
Naples Motorcoach Resort  First class destination park!  Professionally run.  Beautiful grounds include a lake, large clubhouse, infinity pool & exercise room.  Roads are paved and sites are concrete.  They have pull ins(lakefront), pull thrus and back ins.  There is a boat launch which gives access to the Gulf of Mexico.
Naples-Pelican Lake Motorcoach Resort-  First class destination park.  Roads are paved and sites are any thing from stamped concrete to pavers or combination.  Landscaping is that of a tropical paradise.  Lake front sites are pull ins and others are back ins.  Most sites have small coach houses on them.

Florida-Lake Buena Vista-Fort Wilderness RV Resort   Resort is a Disney World property.  The setting makes you feel you are in a remote wilderness.  Full destination park with pool areas, on site restaurants and entertainment.  Sites are set up in circular loops.  Roads and sites are paved.  All back ins.  Good utilities and a table.  Only complaint is some overgrown vegetation extends into roadways.  All Disney World transportation is provided by either boat or bus.  No need for tow vehicle if you stay on Disney property.  Reservations required.

Trip down I10 from Houston to Theodore, AL (Bellingrath Gardens) - Paynes RV Park, had no problem getting in to or out of site http://www.paynesrvpark.com Right down the road from the gardens that was nice, grass sites but you could tell they had gravel base underneath so no problems although probably muddy when wet. The lake was nice and it was only $20/night for full hookups and 50amp.
From Theodore (on I10) up to Huntsville, AL and to the US Space and Rocket Center RV Park: absolute crap... unlevel pull-through sites and 30 amp... it was easy to get into and out of... we are moving tomorrow or the next day when we can find something better...

Houston, TX: Northlake RV Park in Spring, TX (located in Houston area North) is a fabulous park even though it is noisy due to trains and airplanes flying over (very near Bush IAH) - we stayed there again last week for two days and it was so nice to be "home".

Wish we knew you were passing by on I-10. We live 30 minutes east of BR and would have been nice to meet you for lunch or beignets.

rats! Would have really enjoyed meeting you! we need a list of where everyone is... we have been on a whirlwind tour from Ill to Corpus then back up to Huntsville, AL... I'm exhausted just from driving but also all the work I've been doing on the coach and I'm not finished (imagine that!)...

I added Rayford Crossing RV Resort in Spring, Texas to my list on the first page of this thread.  It is located north of Houston, just south of Conroe, TX on Interstate 45.  Lots of shopping and restaurants, including a mall, in the immediate area.  If you have a need to be in the Houston area this is a good choice.

NEW MEXICO: Here's state park in New Mexico. Ute Lake State Park. It's a couple of miles west of Logan, which is in turn twenty miles North of Tucumcari. Lots of room, my current 24 footer is lost in the pull throughs. It is rather barren, but right on Ute Lake recreation area. Fees are low. We use electricity only and paid $14.00 per night. We stop there on our way to visit family in NoDak and have never seen it full. If you decide to use it, make sure you make the turn in Logan. There is a turn south of Logan that you don't want to take.

NEW MEXICO: In Gallup NM, there is the USA RV Park. A bit spartan, but with long level sites. Prices are reasonable. Active duty military stay free and military retirees get a discount. They have a barbeque supper on sale every evening at a reasonable price. Paved roads and gravel sites.

OHIO: Near Columbus OH, there is the Cross Creek Camping Resort. It is a resort, with all the amenities. It's about 25 minutes north of Columbus, which is about as close as you can get to a campground anywhere in the Columbus area. If you know of one closer in, let us know. Don't follow your GPS. It will run you through town and you can spend a lot of time on two lane roads with stop signs and lights. Best way to get there is to go north on I-71 to US 36. West on 36 to Old State Road and turn south. Still some two lane, but a lot fewer stops.

Anyone have any RV park/resort suggestions in the Blue Ridge or Smokey Mountains (GA, SC, NC)? We are looking for a place to spend a couple of months this summer. I will have to contract with local internet provider to hook up personal paid internet so I can work.

I just started using the AllStays.com app and website which displays a map with campgrounds, fuel, Walmart, etc that you can filter by dozens of requirements including accepts Big Rigs, and 50amp. Has links to reviews, grocery stores restaurants in the area.

Rhonda's family farm is on the other side of the creek. Nice quiet campground off the main path. You don't have to get in the traffic snarl to go to the grocery store or hardware. (The two places near and dear to my daily life)

The "River Vista Mountain Village" in Dillard, Ga. is a very nice park.  I was born and raised in this area and is beautiful.  Dillard is about 15 miles south of North Carolina and Highlands, NC is a beautiful mountain town at about 4 thousand feet in the Smokey Mountains. The Smokey Mountain National Park is only a couple hours drive.  There is a lot to do in this area.  Hope this helps.
