Changing Air-Conditioner filters - Patti Wagon - 09-16-2013

I want to learn how to change my air conditioner filters.
I have a mid-entry 2000 coach with two basement air-conditioners located in either side of the front bays. How do I locate and remove the filters?

Look under the entry steps

on my 2002 there are two filters under the steps. when i had one of the airconditioners out i had access to the plenum that the filters are for. there were alot of old filters that had been sucked in there.

so i bought some stainless rod about the size of a coat hanger and cut two pieces and pushed it through the filter medium and then bowed it into place. no way they are going to get sucked in anymore.

most of us use that resuable stuff you buy in sheets and cut to size. very inexpensive.

btw, both filter are in the same plenum. it is not one for one ac and another for the other. both ac's share the same plenum.
