You can mount it any where that it will be convenient for you to hook up.  Second photo shows where mine is on the lower right.  Hard to see air line, but it is just to the left of the electrical connector just above the trailer hitch.

Don't forget the torque wrench.  Have to torque them to 450 ft lbs.

The brass fitting looks like an elbow fitting? Forgive my thickness, but it's still not clear what exactly to do. I thought I could just "T" off a brake line, but I'm certainly not sure.
You are right, in the second pic, I can not tell where the fitting is.
