From my vantage point the banks are still very tight with money. Many RV's (especially used ones) are bought with home equity loans etc.
I've been blessed to be able to invest "sweat-equity" into my Newell and look forward to being able to put a "DONT LAUGH IT'S PAID FOR!" bumper sticker on it!!!( after my new paint job)
