I talked to mike last time I was at Newell and he said he doesn't see why you could co with wood or tile as long as it's not real thick.. Newell will do it for 3-4k.. But if you want to do a carpet again a regular carpet guy could do it.. I have the opposing couches and we love it.. We use co pilots seat for recliner.. Just need to add an additional tv. Forrest you and I basically have the same coach.. I'll ask tomorrow if you want me too. I'm at Newell right now.

Just curious if it can be replaced with wood.
Hey, ask Cresley or someone what to use to re-glue the basement door skins to the aluminum frame. I have a couple that are coming loose. Looks like Newell used trim tape, but since only the corners are coming unglued I was hoping I could just use a liquid adhesive to re-attach them.

our 90 (now bills) had opposing couches and we LOVED that. we wish our 02 had them. funny how we all like different things. the way the door is on the 90 would prevent a full sized couch on that side.

just a note about carpeting as i thought i might change it out on our 02. (after getting a good carpet cleaner we dont need to). the sculpturing that newell does is to hide the places where the slide meets the floor. so without sculpturing it, it might be a tad more obvious.

They use an epoxy

Just saw Newell putting down wood laminate.. All the labor is in removing and putting back the furniture..

Coach 499 was listed for $285,000 in 2008. It showed up in FMCA Magazine about a year ago for $149,000. It was repainted in 2012. Motorhome Specialists in Alvarado, South of Fort Worth, TX has it on consignment. They are a good firm to deal with. I purchased a Safari motorhome from them about 10 years ago. They have tripled in size since then.

I was in Fort Worth this week on biz, and I went to look at this coach. Yep, the green leather and green carpet might not be for everyone's taste, but the interior and other trim is a very neutral beige so any color for the coaches and carpets would work. The rest of the coach looks ok on care and maintenance, normal for that age coach and mileage. I was very intrigued since the floor plan would be what Rhonda and I would prefer.

I did not drive it or crank either engine. I was afraid to get too interested. Sigh.

This coach now has a new interior. The upholstery is now darker brown and the carpet is, well it certainly isn't green but will likely not be to everyone's liking. Price has increased to $144,999 (probably trying to recoup part of the interior change out costs).
