Yard light replacements on 96?
#11

I bought replacement yard lights for my Newell. They do not include bulb sockets in the new fixtures. My old ones are a bit corroded so I decided to use a different LED rather than replace the sockets and buy LED's designed for the OEM socket.
I ground the rivet off from the back side of the fixture allowing removal of the unneeded bracket. Next, a small amount was trimmed from inside the fixture with the grinder to provide clearance for the LED card. Two 24 LED cards are held in place with silicone adhesive. The vendor supplied adapters that plug on to the LED and attach to a light socket. I removed the light socket and will solder the two cards in parallel to the 12V supply and ground. The supplied plug will then allow removal of the light fixture if necessary.

Here is a comparison. The old light lens is yellowed but I cleaned it and installed new incandescent bulb. My coach was not setting on it's back end..........I just cannot get this pic to rotate   Huh   Sorry.

This is kind of an old post, but here’s my fix to the yard light issue. (See pics)

I purchased them on eBay, they are LED, and work fantastically!

Nice, what search words are needed to find those? I like the look.

I got some lenses & gaskets from LMC - the lens is $7.95 & the gasket is $2.95 -- Whole light assy is $29.95
