Electric heater in slides
#1

While at Newell I learned something and wanted to pass it on. If you have a heater in the slides that is not working check the following.

1. Make sure the thermostat is set to high
2. There is an orange reset switch in the middle front of the heater , push it!
3. If number 2 does not work remove heater and on the top is a secondary thermostat that can trip. It is non restorable and must be replaced. The temp rating on it is 270degrees.

4. Do not put anything that can block the air exiting the heater. It can cause the heater to injest previously heated air and raises the internal temp dramatically resulting in the tripped thermostat.

Jason,

Since you have a desk, the heater is prob located under the desk. Take out the bottom drawer for access. In my coach I have two, one under the desk (actually where desk used to be) and one under the bed.

Cheers,
bill
