Polishing wheels
#51

If you keep them clean and don't let them get too tarnished, I've always used IBIZ treated polish cloth. Easy to use and doesn't require a lot of elbow grease! Still brings my 24 year old (308,000 mile) rims to a "almost like new" shine!

Get your wheels as clean & shiny as you can and then use a small amount of the below product. I applied it with a cotton wax applicator. I was amazed by how much black I got off after using Blue Magic and it really made the wheels POP!

your wheels look fantastic. I need to get some of that for my wife. Got her a random orbital polisher, and a big tub of Mothers. I am a lucky guy. She loves to polish the wheels. Smile

I have been using Blue Magic for about 15 years and will continue to do so, but the Zephyr product will be my final finish.  The difference was amazing!

Good to know about Zephyr Steve! What do you use for your tires? I have been using 303, which is good for the rubber, but I am not pleased with longevity.

I use water to clean the tires & then apply 303.

Tom, do you know the brand of your polishing pads you were using for the Griot’s Garage polisher? I want to get some decent quality pads for a DA polisher but have no idea which to use. I’m going to get one of the 3” Griot’s Garage DA polishers.

Since my days of racing cars, I have always considered cleaning as part of the inspection process.  Today it paid off big time.  Just started cleaning LF wheel & discovered a crack coming from under a lug nut.
