#1415 2011 Quad Slide For Sale
#11

High quality and the fact that there are not a lot of them available for sale at any one point in time. The value lies in the quality and durability of the construction. Not so much in the age of the coach. Also good maintenance affects the price.

I am fairly certain that #1415 had an original list price in excess of $1.5 million. As examples: #1409, the first 2011 had a list price of $1,528,200 in February 2010 when it was completed, #1411 had a list price of $1,549,300 in February of 2010, #1418 had a list price of $1,518,000 million when it was completed in May 2010, #1423 had a list price of $1,526,800 in August of 2010, #1426 had a list price of $1,563,050 in September of 2010 and #1429 (Show Coach) had a list price of $1,560,000 when new. Back in the 2013 time frame Newell was typically asking about $1,250,000 for pre-owned 2011 models. #1412 was listed by Newell as pre-owned in 2012 for $1,279,000. #1414 was listed by Newell in 2013 for $1,250,000. #1415 was listed by Newell as a pre-owned coach in 2013 for $1.250,000 and sold in 2014. I do not know if it sold after 2016 or not. Based on these numbers, Newell's current asking price for #1415 is approximately 55% of original list price.

Since Newell offers warranties on most of their used coaches, their prices are typically higher than private owners and RV consignment agents without warranties are asking. If you are interested, make Newell an offer. I suspect they will negotiate on this coach.

What if I am right as to price? What then?

This motor coach appears to be equipped with uncommonly base options for this generation Newells. And if so, then what would the transacted price have been? Especially in the weak economy of 2011.

-----------------------------

It does sound like the warranty is great. However, it is my understanding that manufacturers offer a warranty on preowned goods to stabilize depreciation. And the Newell warranty would need to be compared to other warranties on the market. Does Newell self-warranty these coaches or do they buy insurance on the open market?

To the best of my knowledge, Newell self-warranties the used coaches they sell.

Now at "Make any offer!" pricing.

Questions
Bedroom - did they really cover up the entire window with a TV? (Rather than a "televator" set up)? Can something like that be "undone"?
Weird Mid-Entry - Never seen a straight set up - always curves for or aft. Does this coach have a wheel chair ramp?
Notices it's 45'.0" long, not 45' 8" I've always wondered what that difference accounts for...

Colors on the coach aren't bad, but wonder how it was equipped...heard reference to "bare bones" in previous post.

"Questions"
Yes, someone did put a TV over the window in a fixed position rather than spending the $'s for a lift. It was built back ten years ago with a small Samsung TV in the bedroom next to the window (floorplan states 19" as does the Change Order but it was listed as a 22" in 2014). Someone has since 2014 changed that to a large screen TV covering the window. Can that TV be changed to a lift? Certainly. In 2014, the upcharge when ordering a new Newell for putting in a bedroom TV lift was $5,000.

Straight up mid-entry: Until about 2001 almost all mid-entry Newells had that stair layout with a very few exceptions. The owner ordered a custom floorplan for this coach based on their desires. Item 38 on Change Order 1 was adding a "Switch for C/F elevator in stepwell to control 120 volt elevator".

Length: According to the VIN, it is 45' 8" not 45' 0".

That coach has 136 items on 15 different Change Orders including adding a fourth color to exterior paint scheme and adding Eaton Vorad Collision Avoidance System. Not sure what you are specifically looking for in 'how it was equipped' but when built and in 2014, it had an Ariston Platinum Stacked Washer and Dryer, a Kenyon cooktop, Jenn-Aire side by side refrigerator, Fisher & Paykel dish drawer, 650 HP Cummins ISX, a 6 speed Allison and a 20kw nose mounted generator. The extra 19" TV behind the dinette was a nice idea.

I don't know the original price on that coach. It was advertised for $1,250,000 by Newell in 2013. That is the same as Newell was asking for #1414 and #1417 about the same time.

Hope that helps.
