Cruise Control
#11

I got the cruise control working today!!
Because of some "backyard mechanic" confusion I cannot say for certain what was the problem. It was the MPU or corrosion on the ECM pins. I ended up removing all the plugs from the ECM and cleaning them by using a small wire brush followed by a spray type cleaner/corrosion inhibitor. Newell wanted $61.00 for an Isspro MPU. I found a Rockwell model on ebay for $20.00. It has two sets of output wires so I'm thinking it could supply signal for the speedometer as well if needed. I am posting a pic...hopefully you can see the model#
Thanks to my fellow Gurus for your input....The schematics Gordon posted was very helpful , thank you.

Hey, that's great. It shows what personal persistence backed by gurus suggestions can accomplish.
