Thanks to all have expressed concern for Rhonda and me. We are safely parked at Tom Sawyer in Memphis. Right now I think looks like the eye may go directly over our house in Inverness .  We will just have to wait and evaluate our next move after the storm passes.

If you have a chance go see Sun Records in Memphis. Also do the Great River Crossing path. As an engineer you will appreciate the 100 year pld railroad bridge design. You can ride the bike from the campground.

Best we can tell from neighbor reports is the house and trees survived Irma. Obviously a lot of debris to clean up but the teenager I hired for the summer as the groundskeeper said he could handle it.

Whew!

I think we will stay out of Florida until the infrastructure returns to normal.

The best thing we did before we left for the summer was to completely clean out the refrig and freezer.

That is great news Richard. Even folks with little or not damage can come back to a heck of a mess if the power is out for an extended time and everything in the refrigerator and freezer is turning into a science fair project.

Great news Richard. One hit our town in Mexico a few weeks ago. Filled the pool with sand and salt water, some seeped into the house from sliding doors, but the steel storm shutters saved the day.

The best thing about our coaches is the fact that they have wheels and can get out of the way of catastrophic storms.
