Entry Door Handle
#1
1981-1989 Lincoln Town Car Door Handle - Front Left - Driver Side - Action Crash FO1310109

Anyway, put this in your search engine to find suppliers.

One of the legs broke on ours while traveling this summer. I took the interior panel off to remove the handle and jury rig a fix until we could get a replacement.

You can tell if one of hinge legs breaks because the handle will be cocked. If both of them break, you might have a heck of time getting the door to open. Just sayin.......that I didn't think much about the cocked door handle, until I got the door apart and realized I was flirtin with a larger problem.

Good post, Richard!

With one leg broken, mine only had a little bit of a tilt. I also did not think too much about it until I had it apart.

If you have a manual door handle...a very close look is in order.
