Does any one have a 45' friendly campground somewhere between Sioux City, SD and Mitchell, SD?

Steve you mean Sioux City, IA I assume? So halfway between there and Mitchell is my hometown of Sioux Falls. If this is where you want to be there is a campground on I-90 on the North end of town that has 5th wheels and class A coaches that travel through all summer. It is right next to a large RV dealer called Spaders. In fact they may even own it. What time of the year are you thinking? Today's high was 16. That was not factoring in the wind.

Tom my old friend of six months...you could never survive a SD winter. One of my clients in Atlanta went to Antarctica last week. I told her to come visit me in February if she was into standing out in a frozen wasteland becasue I am sure its much cheaper. I told her that it gets so cold that our prairie dogs start to waddle as they freeze up so they look very similar to penguins. SD and Antarctica..same thing in the winter. You can even watch the Northen Lights sometimes for a moment until your eyes freeze. And now you know why i have to flee to scuba dive in the Caribbean at least once during the winter. Last week in January..Cozumel!!

Todd,
I'm looking for an overnight stop over for our trip to the rally in June--its winter so I'm already looking forward to our 2013 travels. We can stop any where between Sioux City and Mitchell.

We had a high of 35 today with snow flurries & wind gusts of 50mph. Great day to do a little welding on the Newell muffler!

I think that will work well then. On your way out or your way back take the 20 miles loop off of the interstate near Wall Drug into the Badlands. Very unique you will enjoy it. In the morning or evening the colors are spectactular there.
