Is U.S. 26 through Pisgah and Cherokee National forests safe?
#1

Has anyone been through the Pisgah, Appalachians, and Cherokee National forests on U.S. 26 going north in their Newell? Just need to know if it is relatively straight or winding, and safe to do or stressful? I have my doubts, but would like to hear from someone's first hand experience. Please let me know asap! Thanks!

It’s not Florida but you drove up the Saluda grade to get to Saluda. If you felt comfortable with that drive then you will be comfortable with the rest of 26. Use your jakes, manually gear down, and don’t go across the top of grades too fast .
