How would you work with existing wood grain laminate?

I would let the owner decide what material works best. Most of the coaches that I put floors in have various degrees of wood, either cabinets or wood. Since the
carpet would be the only material I would change, some hickory or African mahogany would look very nice.
Today, there are so many choices- kinda like wallpaper selections back in the 70s- too many to look at.
