What is this? In the AH bay
#21

Thanks Tom! I am not going to worry about it now and will look at it with you when you return. I’m focusing on the AH system today and tomorrow to hopefully figure out why it poops out in the middle of the night. Lots of nice HOT water but the pumps don’t seem to be working in two zones - the front zone works but seems to stop after a while. I’m going to check voltage and maybe order a couple of the relays...

So after using Rudy’s HAMMER trick some of the zones came on and I discovered I need at least one new relay. I’m trying to figure out what the MIDDLE zone does... also since the pumps are working they have started LEAKING! :-( geez... now I need to figure out how to remove said pumps and to seal them up... maybe it’s just the pipes/hoses coming in to the pumps that are leaking but the whole bay is an ugly mess so I will eventually need to remove the whole thing and clean it up...

Thanks Richard, I’m still having an issue with the AH system shutting down in the middle of the night and I can’t seem to stay awake long enough to see how long it lasts. Seems like it runs and makes hot air several hours and then starts blowing cold. I’ll talk to Rudy about it during the week or send an email to see what he thinks.
I also need to figure out why the blower (or whatever it is) up front in the dash does not blow hot air at the ankles - I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to. Otherwise there would only be the kitchen register blowing air and there is bound to be more to the living room zone than that... I think Tom said there is a blower outside in the front passenger bay that contains that fan motor but I’ll look into it or maybe Rudy knows.

When your aquahot shuts down in the middle of the night, is it on electric only? Or is it on diesel burner only? Do you have hot water when this happens? Or is it just the blower fan not running? That could be a relay going bad, you can swap it out for one o the others.
If on diesel when it shuts down you need to see if the burner is actually running or not. That could point to a bad control box on the Webasto. Just had to change mine out.

I’m on Diesel when it happens. If I switch the AH off then back on the burner comes on :-(
Rudy did a service on it about 6 months (maybe longer) and it has been running fine but we also have ALL the heaters running and last night was the first time I had cool water in the shower...

What I would do is to borrow the control box from one of Tom's coaches. They should be the same if they're the silver box. Run it for a couple days and see if it continues shutting down.

That’s a great idea Forrest - I forget about those options while being at Tom’s
