110 compressor
#1

Still working my 110 compressor and I have a question. There is a valve in the line between the compressor and the line to main line into the aux air tank. It has 3 spades but there where only 2 wires going to the switch. I ran the compressor and it shuts down at 110lbs. With out the valve in the line so the question is what is it and how to wire it. Will try to post picture

110 psi is a bit on the high side for the 120 volt compressor. Typically the high cutoff is set for about 90 psi. That is a solenoid valve which should relieve the pressure on the compressor to make it start more easily. Mine is old enough that it doesn't have that valve.

Great I will cut the pressure down on the pump switch. Since I now have 2 I might try to figure out the wiring. Thanks for the help as usual Joe
